Pope Benedict XVI's Cathechesis on Saint Paul

Today I would like to begin a new cycle of catechism dedicated to the great  apostle Saint Paul. To him, as you know, is consecrated this year which lasts from the liturgical feast of St. Peter and St. Paul of June 29th in 2008 to the same feast day of the next year.

Audience on 2nd of July 2008

The apostle Paul, an excellent figure, almost inimitable, but in all the ways inspiring, presents himself to us as an example of total dedication to The Lord and to his Church, as well as a great openness to the humanity and to its cultures. It is worthwhile, therefore, that we give him a special space, no just in our veneration, but also in our willing to understand what he can say to us, the Christians of today.
